Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci is a Romanian gymnast (born on the 12th of November, 1961 at Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej [now Onestiin Gheorghe Gheorghiu dej, now Onesti Romania). She was first person to reach a flawless 10 in an Olympic occasion. Bela Karrolyi was the Romanian gymnastics trainer who became Comaneci's coach in later years, discovered her at age six. Comaneci participated for the first time in the 1969 national junior championships. She finished 13th. In the following year, she won the title of champion. In her very first international competition in 1972, she came out on top with three gold medals. When she competed for the first time as a senior, in 1975 she beat out Russian Lyudmila Turishcheva the five-time European champion, winning 4 gold and one silver medal. She was the winner of the American Cup in New York City in 1976 and became the first woman to perform a reverse double salto, which is a dismount from the uneven bars that are parallel. Her journey in the entertainment business began during her teens, when she began performing as a figure skater alongside her younger sister Nina Wayne as part of the shows that traveled around that were known as Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne is a United States citizen, born on the 6th of September 1942 in Chicago, Illinois. Carol started her career in entertainment when she was in her teens. When she was a child she started her career as the figure skater alongside Nina Wayne in the travelling entertainment show Ice Capades. Ice Capades featured performances of skaters ice skating by actors.
