Julia Fiona Roberts, born on October 28, 1967, in Atlanta in the United States to Betty Lou Bredemus & Walter Grady Roberts. Roberts is the fourth Roberts generation to reside in Atlanta, beginning with her great-grandfather, a farmer John Pendleton Roberts. She was inspired by her father's love in the theater at an early time. In 1952, while a student of Emory University, he performed on stage in various productions around Atlanta. In 1953, he joined the Air Force. While stationed at Biloxi in Mississippi, he acted in productions with Betty Lou Bredemus. In 1955, they got married and in 1956 their son Eric Anthony was born. In 1957 the couple left the air force and Walter enrolled at Tulane University in New Orleans Louisiana. Walter started his work at Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio in 1960. The year 1964 was when Walter and Betty Lou began production on a local Saturday morning children's TV show titled Bum Bum and His Buddies that they funded themselves. In 1964, Betty Lou and Walter founded the Actors and Writers Workshop. The organization lasted for a total of the duration of six years. They had two more kids Lelisa (called Lisa) Billingsley in 1965, and Julia (called Julie) in 1967.
